| Chapter Four |
| My First GYM Battle! |

| I went to the island pokemon center on my bike, healed my pokemon, and took a City Map. I strolled through the city untill I found their Gym. On the sign, it said, "Favo Minor Island Pokemon Gym: All pokemon who enter will be blown away!" I entered with Pikachu and Eevee ready. "Hello, I am Daniel Lough. I will challenge the Fu Fu Island Gym Leader for a Wind Badge." I said. "Hey, you must be new at this. I am the Aerial Trainer. You must battle me, 3-on-3 to reach the Gym Leader. Pidgey, I choose you!" called the Aerial Trainer. "Pikachu, I choose you! Thundershock!" I called. "Pidgey, Sky Attack!" Pidgey hurtled up into the air, making Pikachu just fry it more! "Pidgey, no! Come back! Ho-Ho, go! Eyebrow Slash!" "Ho-Ho?" I said. "Ho-Ho, the Owl type pokemon. Its one foot allows it to turn very easily on branches. Big eyes allow it to see it`s prey." Said Morpheus. "Pikachu, give it your Thundershock!" Pikachu, like the other, fried the bird, but got stabbed a bit by the eyebrow. "Ho-Ho, come back! I forfeit! There is no way to win against Electric pokemon with flyers!" said the Aerial Trainer. |
| "A. T., don`t feel down. At least go heal your pokemon on the Sky Panel. I`ll take over." Said a mysterious man. He then stepped forward. "2-on-2. Spearow, I choose you!" said the man. "Pikachu, give it another try! Thundershock!" I said. "Spearow, use your beak to the ground!" said the man. I think he`s the leader. The electric hit the beak, and hit the ground! "Spearow, Fury Attack." "Pikachu, Thunder Wave!" Spearow was paralyzed! "Pikachu, finish it! Quick Attack!" I said. "Spearow is done. Return! Pidgeotto, go! Razor Wind!" Pidgeotto shot out a powerful blast at Pikachu, causing it to faint! "No! Pikachu, come back! Flaps, I choose you! Tackle!" "Pidgeotto, Razor Wind!" Pidgeotto missed, and was hit hard bay tackle! "Okay Flaps! Whirlwind it!" "Pidgeotto, Quick Attack!" Pidgeotto was blasted to the floor, ending the match! "Pidgeotto, return! That was some match! For you, I give the Wind Badge! Pidgey, come!" said the leader. A Pidgey flew from a branch, and landed near me. Pidgey then dropped the badge, and flew back. "Great! I picked up my first badge! Thanks Flaps, and especially you, Pikachu!" I said. |
| After once again healing my pokemon, I went on over to the wild part of the island, and looked around. I saw a natural pool, A forest like area, and a low field. I decided to head toward the forest area. In there I saw TONS of oddish! I decided to get one. "Oddish, you are mine! Eevee, go! Take-Down!" "Oodish dish? Oddish!" Oddish tried to absorb, but Eevee was too tough! "Eevee, now use a Tackle!" I called. Eevee hit the oddish, which did absorb back. "Eevee, come back now! Pokeball, go!" I said. I had caught an Oddish! The pokeball then teleported. I looked around a bit more, and found a Venonat! I heard that this was found in the Safari Zone, so it must be rare! I switched Seel up for Charmander, and released it. "Charmander, Ember it!" I said. "Venonat gnat!" said the Venonat. It was burned before it could try its Supersonic! "Charmander, Scratch!" Charmander lashed at the Venonat, who kept running in circles from the burn. "Pokeball, go!" I called. 1� 2� 3� Yes! I had caught a Venonat! Charmander was rather pleased with its new trainer. |
| I decided that was enough catching for today. Heck, it was 4:00 P.M.! When I actually started today at 6:00A.M., I think I spent a long time today. I went to the center and healed all my pokemon, even the ones in the storage. I went over to the Card Game area. Only two people were there. One person had just beaten the other. I challenged him. Here is my deck, as usual� |
| My pokemon included: 1 Blastoise, 2 Wortortle, 3 Squirtle, 1 Venusaur, 2 Ivysaur, 3 Bulbasaur, 2 Gyrados, 3 Magikarp, 1 Dewgong, 2 Seel, 1 Exeggcutor, 2 Exeggcute. My trainers included 1 Pokemon Breeder, 1 Pokemon Trader, 1 Professor Oak, 1 Bill, 2 Energy Retrieval, and a Potion. My energy included 16 Water, 14 Grass. |
| We shuffled our decks, and drew seven cards. My hand was a Magikarp, a Gyrados, a Bill, a Squirtle, and 3 Water Energy. I used my Squirtle as my active pokemon, and Magikarp on the bench. I then set 6 prizes aside as prizes. I called heads, and he flipped a coin. It landed on heads! We flipped over our pokemon. I saw he had a psychic/water deck, because he had an Abra out and a Staryu on the bench. I drew a Pokemon Breeder. I then used my Bill, and got 2 water energy. I now added a water energy to Squirtle, did bubble, and failed to Paralyze. He drew a card, added a psychic energy to abra, and did Psyshock. He failed to paralyze me. I drew another card, and got a Blastoise. I had squirtle do another bubble, and paralyzed Abra! His abra retreated for Staryu, and added a water energy to Staryu, and slapped me. I drew a card, hoping it was a Wortortle� It was a Bill. I used Bill and drew a Grass energy, and� A Wortortle! I used Pokemon Breeder, evolved Squirtle strait to Blastoise, and added 4 Water energy to Blastoise. |
| You can guess what happens. He never got another basic pokemon, and I defeated both of his in one pump. I got an Alakazam and Psychic energy card from his prizes. "Hey, kid, let me tell you a secret for later on your journey. Inside of this town, under the gym, there is another Gym! I heard its type is the same type as my cards. In fact, I heard he uses the same pokemon as my best cards! Well, catch you later!" he said, took his Alakazam and Psychic energy back, and walked out. With that information, I decided to find a pokemon that knows dig! |
| I decided to go to the wild area of the island. It was basically the shores and a forest. On the shores, I found a Weird object in the sand. I called on Morpheus to tell me what it was. "Squirtle, the tiny turtle type pokemon from the water element. It uses high pressured water guns made from foaming it`s mouth. This Squirtle currently knows Tackle, Tail Whip, Bubble, and Water Gun, and is at level 15." Said Morpheus after I hit 3 buttons at once. "Alright then, I`ll tamper a bit�" I swapped up Charmander for Oddish. "� And Oddish, I choose you! Absorb!" Squirtle was apparently sleeping. Oddish sprouted onto Squirtles shell, and started to lap up strength. Squirtle suddenly woke up, and started running in circles, and Oddish, still on the shell, lapped up power. |
